In our environment, there are a number of servers already in place that could be used, and there is more than enough storage space. ![]() I accept it is his decision, and he's made it, but I am wondering if he is right. I even showed him the test DFS share, and was unable to sway his position I've been suggesting that we create some DFS shares between some servers in our environment to create some better redundancy if a server goes down, but I am getting resistance because my superior states that DFS is "unreliable, not worth it, a pain to deal with", but he adds he hasn't really worked with it in years. My only experience is taking two old servers and making a DFS share that replicates between the two of them in a test environment. ![]() ![]() ![]() I am the junior guy in a two man IT department, and I've never deployed or worked with DFS in a production environment.
